Ski vacation with children in Sölden
Sölden – a winter destination for many enthusiastic ski lovers. If you haven’t heard of this place before, you’ve really missed something. “Where is Sölden?” may one or the other winter newcomer ask himself. This area is in the beautiful Tyrol and inspires winter lovers from all over the world with its attractions. Celebrities are also very often to be found here and presumably Sölden with its glaciers is the favourite among the celebrities. Several films have already been shot here, including James Bond.
There are 39 ropeways available with a range of 1377 to 3250 metres in height. With its 148.3 kilometres of ski runs, the area offers something for every skier, from beginners to experienced skiers. There are also three cross-country ski runs, which stretch over 16 kilometres, and everyone should find what they are looking for. For a change, there is also an illuminated toboggan run and a skating rink, as well as a tennis hall and a sports arena. Thus, this ski area also offers an interesting and exciting change from skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. The Ötztal has even more to offer and so for example in the nearby Obergurgl and Hochgurgl we also find 23 cable cars from 1800 to 3080 meters and 110 kilometers of piste, as well as ski routes and a 36 kilometers long cross-country ski run. Here you will also find an illuminated ice rink. In the neighbouring Vent there are four cable cars between 1900 and 2680 metres and 15 kilometres of piste, also with ski routes and a four kilometre long cross-country ski run.
You can also easily visit the area from home via the livecams and see for yourself the beauty of this place and the local weather and climate.
As far as overnight accommodation is concerned, there is a very wide selection here, ranging from bed and breakfasts and holiday homes to apartments and average 3-star hotels to luxurious wellness hotels and accommodation on the slopes. Thus, the costs also vary according to need, which allows even holidaymakers who do not want to spend too much to treat themselves to a relaxed skiing holiday in beautiful Sölden, but also discerning guests can come here to their taste.
This area is also the home of several winter sports enthusiasts and is therefore also a famous winter sports area, which gives the reputation of this area another plus point.
With the many shops that Sölden has to offer, it is also easily possible to get quality equipment for the optimal winter trip. But if you don’t want this, either because you are new to this sport and you want to explore it first, or because you don’t want to invest too much money in these things, for whatever reason, you can easily borrow the necessary equipment on site for the desired duration.
